Using the new to dentistry material PEEK, I fitted this splint today on a completed tooth straightening clear aligner case. PEEK is white, strong, flexible, durable, biocompatible and can be constructed in very thin sections.
For our patients this will will provide more reliable and stable retention less likely to break or de-bond with the added advantage of being tooth coloured.
